  • Job Description:
  • Seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our high performance team supporting advanced Underwater mission systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands on experience in soldering, crimping, wire harness fabrication, and system troubleshooting working with multimeters and other various troubleshooting tools. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hand soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs) cable connectors.
  • Assemble, crimp, and terminate wire harnesses to engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Conduct visual and electrical inspections (continuity, insulation resistance) to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Interpret engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials (BOM) documents.
  • Troubleshoot and repair/rework defective assemblies; document corrective actions.
  • Maintain clean room and ESD controlled environments; enforce safety and handling protocols.
  • Support prototype builds, low rate production, and field service deployments.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Travel to customer or field locations for up to three weeks at a time, setting up workstations, performing on site repairs, and providing technical support.
  • Final cable assembly processing to include molding/potting compound injection to create water tight cable barriers.
________________________________________ Qualifications & Experience Requirement Desired Experience Education Associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field; or equivalent military/industry training. Technical Experience 3+ years of hands on electronics assembly, with demonstrable expertise in soldering (including surface mount, through hole, and BGA) and wire harness manufacturing. Certifications
J STD 001
(Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies) and IPC 620 (Requirements for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies) preferred; OSHA safety certification a plus. Tools Proficiency Proficient with soldering irons, hot air stations, reflow ovens, crimping tools, wire stripping machines, and test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, continuity testers). Travel Ability Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to 3 weeks per assignment, with minimal disruption to personal commitments. Soft Skills Strong problem solving capabilities, attention to detail, excellent documentation habits, and ability to work independently or within cross functional teams. Clearance Eligible for a Secret clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret if required (subject to background investigation). ________________________________________ Desired Additional Skills
    Multimeter Proficiency:
    Ability to use digital multimeters for precise voltage, current, resistance, and continuity measurements while troubleshooting complex electronic systems.
      Fiber Optic Skills:
      Experience performing fiber terminations (e.g., LC, SC, MPO) and splicing, as well as using fiber power meters and optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR) for link testing and verification. ________________________________________ Physical Requirements
      • Ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 30 lb for extended periods.
