Job Description
Job Summary A Technician II installs, maintains, and repairs commercial door and dock equipment at customer locations. The role requires mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a safety-first mindset, and a strong commitment to customer service. Technicians work both independently and collaboratively to complete scheduled service calls and installations. Quality workmanship, clear communication, and professional conduct are key to success in this position. Essential job Functions Install, service, and maintain commercial dock and door equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company standards. Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on a wide range of dock and door equipment, including rolling and sectional doors. Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate brackets, mounts, and other installation hardware as needed. Maintain a safe and clean job site, comply with all company safety policies, industry regulations, and adhere to all traffic laws and vehicle safety standards while operating company equipment. Read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to assist with equipment diagnostics and repair. Document all service activities, including work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance or repair. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, providing updates on job status and explaining any additional service needs. Assist team members with larger installations or service calls as needed and remain flexible to support changing priorities and schedules. Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations, including proper use of PPE and fall protection.
