Service Technician

At Pella Windows & Doors of Northern Indiana, we are committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience through high-quality products, expert installation, and outstanding service. We are currently seeking a motivated and customer focused Service Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on problem solving, working independently in the field, and helping customers resolve issues with professionalism and care. What You'll Do As a Service Technician, you will travel to customer homes and job sites to inspect, diagnose, repair, and adjust Pella windows and doors. You will work closely with our internal service team to ensure service calls are completed accurately, efficiently, and with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities Include:

Diagnose and resolve service issues on Pella windows and doors Perform repairs and adjustments including: Glass replacement Sash, screen, shade, and hardware replacement General operational adjustments and troubleshooting Communicate professionally with customers regarding product care and maintenance Complete service documentation and communicate follow-up needs Identify and order parts required for additional service visits Maintain inventory of service parts and tools Conduct jobsite walkthroughs and identify items needing correction prior to project completion Collect customer payments when required Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Maintain assigned company vehicle and comply with fleet safety requirements Support continuous improvement efforts within the service department What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who: Enjoys working independently while also being part of a team Has strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills Takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service Is dependable, organized, and detail oriented Thrives in a fast paced environment Communicates professionally with customers and coworkers Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Prior experience in construction, field service, window/door installation, or general carpentry preferred Experience using power tools required Valid driver's license required with a clear driving record Must pass a drug screen and background check Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile applications Why Join Our Team?
