Job Description

Company Description The service technician is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and facilitating the installation and service of loading dock equipment, industrial doors, and specialty lifts. Work is performed according to plans, blueprints, or drawings. This role requires driving to customer sites in a company vehicle and maintaining an organized and professional work environment.
Technician Job Responsibilities:
Use hand tools, hoists, jacks, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust equipment. Ensure equipment performs to specifications by conducting tests, modifying, and fine-tuning as needed. Service and maintain equipment per specifications. Disassemble or dismantle equipment when necessary. Be punctual and reliable. Address customer requests and concerns regarding products and services. Plan and facilitate the installation and repair of new or refurbished machinery. Conduct safety inspections of equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work with mechanical and electrical components. Basic welding capabilities. Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, individually and in combination. Ability to diagnose part failures and perform appropriate repairs or replacements. Broad knowledge of a variety of equipment types. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational school or associate's degree in a related field preferred. Welding experience highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity to inspect and adjust large, detailed equipment. Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, service, and maintain equipment.
