About the Role As a Precision CNC Technician, you will play a vital role in transforming raw materials into high-tolerance components that drive our production success. You will leverage your expertise in manual and CNC machining to ensure every part meets rigorous quality standards while optimizing operational efficiency. Responsibilities Interpret complex blueprints and technical specifications to determine optimal machining sequences and setup requirements. Configure and calibrate machine controls, including feed rates, speeds, and coolant flow, to achieve precise dimensional accuracy. Execute setups using diverse work-holding fixtures and tooling to ensure stability and repeatability during production runs. Monitor active machining processes to proactively identify and correct potential deviations, ensuring consistent output quality. Perform comprehensive inspections using micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks to verify that all components adhere to strict tolerances. Maintain a high-performance work environment by performing routine equipment maintenance and ensuring a clean, organized shop floor. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine manufacturing processes and improve overall throughput. Document production data accurately within our tracking systems to support labor reporting and inventory management. Required Skills Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a precision machining environment. Advanced proficiency in operating and troubleshooting both CNC and manual machine tools. Demonstrated ability to read and translate complex technical drawings into finished parts. Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement. Preferred Skills Completion of a formal apprenticeship or vocational trade program in machining. Experience with specialized materials or high-precision component manufacturing. Proven ability to perform complex assembly and alignment tasks using surface plates and precision hand tools.
