By mid-morning you're replacing a closer and dialing in access control hardware. After lunch, you troubleshoot a faulty operator, document your work, and walk the customer through the fix. Every stop is a chance to make buildings safer and keep businesses moving. What You'll Do Install, service, and maintain commercial and industrial doors with professional tools and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues—springs, hinges, locks, operators, and related components.

Configure and fit door hardware:

locks, handles, closers, and basic access control systems. Verify all work meets safety practices and applicable building codes. Deliver clear, friendly customer service—explain findings, outline options, and provide cost‑effective solutions. Complete accurate service notes, measurements, and installation reports. Schedule Full-time within business hours of 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with potential overtime and on-call needs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years in commercial door service is a plus (not required). Familiarity with door types, brands, and hardware is a plus. Skilled with hand and power tools; able to read a tape measure and work with fractions. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer communication. Detail oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship and safety protocols. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs; bend and lift repeatedly; climb ladders up to 20'; work on knees for extended periods; and operate power tools proficiently.
