Georgetown, KY Job Details 3 days ago Benefits On-the-job training Qualifications Microsoft Outlook Customer service Good documentation practices (GDP) Company vehicle operation Full Job Description This role with primarily focus on proper operation of safety showers and perform eyewash station inspections, gas detection calibrations and fall protection inspections. They also handle other misc tasks for the different departments. As our Service Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of customer owned safety equipment, while learning new skills and safety training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All team members must embody the company mission to provide protection for people, property, and the environment in all aspects of their job Perform monthly inspections & maintenance on fire extinguishers Fire hose testing Functional testing of Scott, MSA, and Honeywell (Survivair) SCBA's Perform inspections on emergency shower & eyewash stations Maintains demo and rental equipment Enter service orders into the order entry system and prepare equipment for shipment Use computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and coordinate paperwork Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair customer personnel air monitoring equipment Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair customer fixed gas detection equipment Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school Two to five years related experience and/or training Or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize work effectively Possess problem solving skills and have excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Must be results-orientated and highly productive Possess the ability to follow good documentation practices and adapt to changing schedules Relative proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel Unwavering commitment to a safe workplace and to safe work practices Complete devotion to exceptional customer service and follow up Represent the company in a positive and professional manner Previous certification from manufacturers is preferred, however, on-the-job training and vendor training will be provided This position will require the use of company vehicles An acceptable driving record is required Manufacturer certification is preferred; on-the-job training and vendor training is provided Travel up to 75% of the time Job duties require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and crawl into tight or awkward places #LI-BM1 Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
