Job Description
Starting at $15/hour after training + performance incentives Opportunity to earn $25+/hour with uncapped performance incentives No previous phone repair experience required — paid training provided. Looking for an entry-level opportunity where you can learn a new skill, work with technology, help customers, and earn more based on your performance? As an In-Store Device Repair Technician , you'll diagnose and repair smartphones and other devices while providing a great customer experience and recommending products and services that meet customers' needs. This is a hands-on position that combines technical repair, customer service, and sales . You don't need previous repair experience—we'll provide the training. What You'll Do As an in-store technician, you'll: Diagnose and repair smartphones and other devices Replace screens, batteries, back glass, and other common components Perform device testing and basic diagnostics Accurately document device condition, issues, and repairs Help customers understand their repair and service options Provide customers with updates throughout the repair process Recommend accessories, protection options, and additional products and services based on customer needs Work efficiently to complete repairs accurately and on time Work alongside your store team to manage the repair queue Maintain tools, parts, work areas, and inventory Help keep the store clean, organized, and ready for customers Assist with other store responsibilities as needed No Repair Experience? No Problem. This is an entry-level technician position , and previous phone repair experience is not required. We provide paid training to teach you how to diagnose and repair common smartphone issues, properly use repair tools and equipment, test devices, and understand the technology you'll work with every day. You do not need previous phone repair, electronics, engineering, or advanced technical experience to be successful in this role. You bring the customer service, reliability, work ethic, and willingness to learn. Customer Service & Sales Being a great technician is only part of this position. You'll also interact directly with customers and help identify solutions that meet their needs. You'll be expected to: Communicate clearly and professionally with customers Explain repair options and recommendations Identify additional customer needs Recommend appropriate accessories, protection options, and services Look for opportunities to add value to the customer's experience Contribute to individual and store sales goals Help create an experience that keeps customers coming back You don't need to be a high-pressure salesperson. We're looking for someone who can listen to customers, understand their needs, make appropriate recommendations, and confidently ask for the sale.
