Job Description
Responsibilities Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawnmowers, backpack blowers, line trimmers, and other outdoor power equipment. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, carburetor adjustments, and belt replacements to optimize engine performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, other techniques to complete repairs accurately and efficiently. Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on small engines that involve electrical systems or wiring harnesses. Advise customers on repair needs, maintenance advice, and ensuring equipment is services or replaced as needed. Handle lifting of equipment parts and engines safely while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for quality control and warranty purposes. Qualifications Proven experience working as a service technician or mechanic with small engines or related equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately. Hands-on experience with diesel & gas engine repair, automotive repair, equipment maintenance and repair, and vehicle maintenance. Proficiency with electrical systems and the use of hand tools and power tools. Soldering and welding techniques are a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate information clearly. Pay based on experience.
