Job Description

Job Title:
Technician Job Summary DSP Troy LLC is seeking dependable Technicians to support quality containment activities at OEM and Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facilities. Technicians will inspect, test, sort, and verify electrical cables and wire harnesses to ensure only conforming products are shipped to production. This is an entry-level contractor position with paid training provided. Key Responsibilities Perform 100% inspection and sorting of electrical cables, connectors, and wire harnesses. Conduct continuity, resistance, and functional electrical testing using customer-approved test equipment. Identify and segregate nonconforming parts based on customer quality standards. Follow OEM customer work instructions, quality alerts, and inspection criteria. Record inspection and test results accurately. Label, package, and maintain traceability of inspected materials. Report defects, quality concerns, and production issues to the onsite supervisor. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all customer safety, quality, and confidentiality requirements. Work professionally in OEM manufacturing environments while representing DSP Troy LLC. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No previous experience required; training will be provided. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free work. Basic computer and documentation skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8-12 hours per shift. Ability to bend, reach, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive hand movements. Must have reliable transportation to customer facilities. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or multiple shifts as required by customer demand. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in automotive quality inspection, containment, sorting, rework, or cable testing. Experience working at OEM or Tier 1 automotive facilities. Familiarity with electrical continuity testers, multimeters, or wire harness testing equipment. Knowledge of automotive quality standards and defect identification is a plus.
