Position Overview:
As a Device Repair Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our operations, engaging with customers, diagnosing repair needs, and performing hands-on repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement:
Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to and addressing customer concerns. Build and maintain positive client relationships.
Diagnostic Skills:
Assess and diagnose repair needs for various electronic devices, including cell phones, tablets, iPads, computers, and game consoles.
Precision Repair:
Perform repairs with precision and efficiency, adhering to high-quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
Clear Communication:
Clearly explain the repair process and solutions to clients, ensuring they understand the steps and options available.
Sales Opportunities:
Identify and recommend additional products or services to enhance the customer experience.
Inventory Management:
Maintain an organized inventory of parts and equipment and manage relationships with vendors.
Stay Informed:
Keep up to date with industry advancements and emerging technologies to provide the best possible service.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with team members in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, customer-centric approach. Some college or technical training preferred. 1+ years of experience in cell phone tech/customer service and/or sales, ideally in a retail setting. Familiarity with a wide range of device repairs, especially smartphones. Experience with soldering techniques is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Quick learner with the ability to apply new knowledge to daily tasks. Flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Comfortable working in a retail environment and interacting with the general public.
