Full Job Description Precision Cut-Off Technician Location:
Sterling Heights, Michigan Position Type:
Contract Compensation:
Up to $21.50 per hour, based on proven work history A day in this role You arrive for your shift, open the saw list, and map out the day's cuts. You'll select material, set up the saw, and make precise cut-to-length parts to meet timing and accuracy targets. Between runs, you'll update materials and supply counts so the team stays stocked. You'll keep your equipment tuned with routine maintenance, and if a machine needs attention beyond your scope, you'll loop in your supervisor right away. Throughout the day, you'll follow our Quality System procedures, contribute ideas to continuous improvement, and document your work. Consistent, on-time attendance is essential to keep production flowing. Schedule options
Day Shift:
Monday-Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm or 5:00am-3:30pm
Afternoon Shift:
Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-2:00am What you'll do Execute cuts exactly to the saw list requirements within allotted time Maintain up-to-date inventory of materials and supplies Perform routine equipment and machinery maintenance as needed Immediately notify supervision of equipment failures or repair needs beyond your capability Adhere to our Quality System and support continuous improvement activities Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance What you bring High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and safety Ability to follow production lists, work to takt times, and document results Installations and service We are a worldwide full-service supplier. Employees must be able to perform installations and/or service at customer facilities globally. Some assignments are short-term; others may last several months. For long-term projects, Corporate Supervision will assign employees accordingly. Depending on location, service and installation work may include additional compensation.
