Role Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Service Technician will be primarily responsible for field service, troubleshooting and documentation in the Merlo Energy assigned territories. These services would include, start-up, commission and testing of steam, air, and hot water equipment. Also, provide sales support functions during non-active field service work and promote schedule services.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Service Technician position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Field service work for Merlo Energy to include: Steam trap testing Start up and commissioning of hot water generation and mix stations Troubleshooting of pressure reducing stations, humidification systems, and condensate system Be fluent in reporting and documentation of the work required by both customers and manufacturers Effectively use measurement testing instruments and documentation tools such as
DVOM & AMP
meters, pressure and temperature instruments, software calibration and interface devices Ability to perform work in an industrial setting to include Chemical Plants, Refineries, Power Plants, various industrial and commercial complexes in a safe manner Ability to manage time effectively in scheduling service work while coordinating with other Merlo Energy staff so the work schedules meet market demands Be available for overnight travel when required for field service work and training Perform sales assist role with outside sales where field technical assistance may be required Back up inside and outside sales when not in the field Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures Perform other duties as assigned Competencies you possess: Service Excellence Results, Action Oriented Accountability and Responsibility Teamwork and Collaboration Decision Quality Displaying Technical Expertise Time Management Safety Conscious What you'll need:
Work Experience:
Entry Level Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Analytics/Computer Skills:
Knowledge of software-based tools in the industry; knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Office); mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Organization Skills:
Excellent work ethic; good verbal, time management and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team Cross-functional skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and through the direction of the Sales Manager; work well with others; ability to explain your work and/or train others

Work Experience:
