Job Description
The Service Technician at BENCO Equipment is responsible for the installation, diagnosis, and repair of shop equipment while delivering top-notch service to the customer.
Ability to diagnose and repair equipment and components in the fieldStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to understand the customers expectations and work to exceed themAbility to work in the field without supervisionAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced service environmentWillingness and ability to comply with company safety requirements and maintain safe working habitsAbility to lift up to 75 poundsValid drivers license and a safe driving recordFlexibility to work overtime hours as needed
JOB DUTIES
Install, diagnose, and repair shop equipment: 2 and 4 post hoists, tire changers, wheel balancers, industrial air compressors, pressure washers, waste oil heaters, air line systems, lube systems, exhaust systems, and other shop-type equipmentTop-tier industry-specific training provided. Follow logical steps to troubleshoot the cause of problems with equipmentRun equipment tests and make adjustments as requiredPrepare equipment for delivery by inspecting and operating machines prior to delivery as ableKeep up to date and continue education on new technologies as requiredAccurately report service work performed in a timely mannerPresent yourself in a professional manner at all timesMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or (GED) equivalent; an Associate's Degree or a Technical school certificate is a plusWorking knowledge of automotive shop equipment, hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems. Basic computer skills.Ability to diagnose and repair equipment and components in the fieldStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to understand the customers expectations and work to exceed themAbility to work in the field without supervisionAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced service environmentWillingness and ability to comply with company safety requirements and maintain safe working habitsAbility to lift up to 75 poundsValid drivers license and a safe driving recordFlexibility to work overtime hours as needed
