Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Water Wells Service Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and servicing water well systems and related infrastructure. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors on diverse construction sites, ensuring the reliable operation of water systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Your expertise will help keep water supply systems running smoothly while adhering to strict safety protocols and industry standards. If you thrive in hands-on environments and are passionate about utility and water system maintenance, this is the perfect role for you! Duties Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of water well systems, including pumps, piping, and underground utilities. Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear to access and service water wells and pipelines. Conduct utility locating and underground utility inspections to ensure safe excavation and installation processes. Execute fiber splicing, electrical wiring (high voltage and low voltage), cabling, and electrical system repairs with precision. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, ladders, and rigging gear to complete maintenance tasks efficiently. Maintain equipment through routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure operational safety and longevity. Adhere strictly to safety protocols including climbing, heavy lifting, manual handling, and working at heights or in confined spaces. Support emergency response efforts by providing on-call coverage for urgent repairs or system failures. Document all work performed accurately in service logs and reports to ensure compliance with industry standards. Experience Proven experience working in the energy & utilities sector or related outdoor construction environments. Demonstrated proficiency with heavy equipment operation such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging tools. Knowledge of water systems including pumps, pipelines, underground utilities, and pipeline construction techniques. Skilled in electrical work involving high voltage/low voltage wiring and cabling projects. Familiarity with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), equipment maintenance routines, and safety procedures on construction sites. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling guidelines. Experience with utility locating technology and underground utility detection methods. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions with outdoor work experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience using hand tools and power tools for repair tasks. Pay:
$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
