Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician at PhoneFIXation, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing mobile devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mobile phone components and systems, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Mobile Device Repairs:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and other electronic gadgets.
Screen and Battery Replacement:
Perform common repairs such as screen replacements, battery swaps, and repairs to charging ports, cameras, and other components.
Quality Testing:
Ensure all repairs meet company standards by performing rigorous testing and quality checks before returning devices to customers.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair issues, timelines, and solutions, and provide exceptional customer service.
Inventory Management:
Maintain proper stock levels of parts and tools, and ensure the timely ordering of materials when needed.
Device Software Management:
Perform software updates, data transfers, and troubleshooting for operating system issues, ensuring smooth device functionality after repairs.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, and customer interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in mobile phone repairs (smartphones and tablets), preferably in a fast-paced repair environment. Strong knowledge of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, etc.) and hardware components. Familiarity with repair tools and equipment (e.g., screwdrivers, heat guns, soldering tools). Attention to detail with the ability to work on small components and intricate systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented approach. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
