Full Job Description Summary of Position:
The Tablet Press Service Technician will provide technical support through application knowledge to troubleshoot customer concerns, provide training and support, and develop standardized repair procedures as necessary for the Tablet Press Division.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Run trials and perform factory testing on new machines to ensure proper operation of the tablet press prior to shipping Diagnose operator error versus electrical and control system problems on customer equipment Troubleshoot PLC and HMI configuration and programming Troubleshoot electrical systems from 24VDC control to 600V three-phase AC main power Provide hands-on and classroom training; operational optimization and process knowledge is a plus Perform SAT, FAT, calibrations, and other tablet press-related functions at HQ or at the customer site as required Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
Recent PLC development or troubleshooting experience (Beckhoff & Rockwell) HMI development or troubleshooting experience Experience with high-speed data acquisition systems Experience with safety systems preferred Strong communication skills
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology, or Associate's/Trades degree
Physical Requirements:
Work requires standing, stooping, bending, and reaching Ability to travel up to 75% as required
