Come join our team as a Service Technician for a fast-growing convenience store company. The ES Service Technicians are responsible for setting and installing propane tanks, gas piping systems, and diesel and gasoline tanks; conduct system tests and purge cylinders and tanks, and repair and maintain company equipment. You will also get the opportunity to cross train in Dispatch!
Pay:
$28.00/hr Responsibilities Ensure that Company and Government safety, policy and regulatory standards are met at all times and maintain zero preventable accidents. Maintain safety and compliance records. Install propane tanks, gas piping systems, and diesel/gasoline tanks. Maintain and operate service vehicle. Review maintenance record, perform pre- and post-trip Inspections; report all vehicle conditions requiring attention for continued safe operation and proper vehicle maintenance. Meet established performance standard metrics such as billable time, productivity and efficient usage of inventory & equipment. Maintain professional image and respectful relations with customers and the general public at all times. Address customer inquiries and provide superior customer service. Strive to maintain zero service related customer complaints. Maintain trip report, shipping papers, system test documentation and related information. Observe, learn and apply the knowledge and skills handed down from more experienced technicians, and provide guidance to less experienced technicians as appropriate. Attend company sponsored- and industry-related training as appropriate. Works independently with onsite and/or remote support and direction from manager and more senior personnel. May provide guidance to less experienced technicians. Performs additional duties as needed
Qualifications SKILLS:
Customer Service, Product Knowledge, Quality Focus, Problem Solving, Market Knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED equivalent and three+ years of relevant experience. CDL required; class B license with HazMat & Tanker endorsement
PREFERRED SKILLS
Petroleum experience and Master gasfitters license preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical activities and requirements described in the job description are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Continuously bend, crouch, stoop; drive and operate motorized equipment; handle controls, tools, and other equipment with moving mechanical parts; reach with arms and hands for extended periods while driving and operating equipment; utilize hands and other body parts in repetitive motion; utilize manual dexterity and eye/hand/foot coordination; twist back and neck; push, pull, lift, carry up to 75 pounds. Frequently balance, kneel, shovel, stack, sweep; climb in and out of vehicle throughout the shift while maintaining three points of contact; stand and walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces and rugged terrain; utilize feet in repetitive motion; work in adverse weather conditions; pulls hose over adverse ground conditions. Occasionally pull, push, lift, carry 80-100 pounds; exposed to vibration, flammables, combustibles; working at heights or above a lower level; electrical shock; fumes, vapors, and other airborne particulates. Must be able to hear vehicle and equipment sounds. Specific vision abilities include depth perception, distance and close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
