This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, understands the importance of following procedures, and has experience working with industrial cleaning, restoration, maintenance, surface preparation, or specialized equipment. Our technicians work on a variety of challenging projects involving industrial facilities, heavy equipment, machinery, transportation equipment, and specialized surfaces. No two projects are exactly alike, and success in this role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, physical capability, and a commitment to doing the job correctly—not simply quickly.
This Role Is Ideal For:
This position is ideal for an experienced industrial cleaning, pressure washing, blasting, restoration, maintenance, or construction professional who enjoys hands-on work, working with specialized equipment, and solving problems in demanding industrial environments. The ideal candidate understands that cutting corners rarely saves time . Poor workmanship can damage delicate surfaces, expensive equipment, or property—and can create additional work for the entire team. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and is committed to completing each project safely, thoroughly, and professionally. Experience in the Following Area(s): An experienced Industrial Cleaning Technician may have familiarity with some or all of the following:
  • Industrial pressure washing and high-pressure water cleaning
  • Surface preparation and industrial restoration
  • Industrial decontamination
  • Specialized plant maintenance
  • Facility sanitation
  • Removing grease, paint, coatings, residue, and other contaminants from heavy machinery and industrial equipment
  • Abrasive cleaning and surface stripping
  • Confined space cleaning
  • Industrial painting, coating, or blasting
  • Heavy equipment, machinery, or transportation equipment cleaning
  • Operating and maintaining specialized industrial equipment Key Responsibilities Industrial Cleaning & Restoration
  • Perform a variety of hands-on cleaning, coating, surface preparation, and restoration tasks for specialized industrial projects.
  • Operate specialized equipment to clean and restore delicate components, rail chassis, tractors, trailers, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment.
  • Follow project scopes of work, work orders, company procedures, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Identify surface contamination, defects, damage, or unsatisfactory conditions before, during, and after a project.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure work is completed thoroughly and professionally. Project Preparation & Job Site Management
  • Perform job site inspections before and after each project.
  • Assist with project mobilization, site setup, equipment staging, and site cleanup.
  • Prepare and organize all necessary equipment, tools, chemicals, materials, and PPE.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
  • Never leave behind dirt, debris, trash, or improperly stored materials. Logistics & Equipment Preparation
  • Plan, prepare, and load company vehicles and equipment before each project.
  • Properly unload, clean, inspect, and return equipment after project completion.
  • Inspect and calibrate specialized equipment before and after use to ensure proper function and safe operation.
  • Identify and address minor equipment deficiencies when capable and authorized to do so.
  • Report equipment issues, damaged tools, missing parts, or maintenance needs promptly. Documentation & Communication
  • Complete detailed project documentation through the company app.
  • Record site-specific details, equipment hours, parts used, chemicals consumed, project conditions, and other required information.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, foremen, coworkers, and customers when appropriate.
  • Follow instructions and ask questions when project requirements or procedures are unclear. Workplace Standards
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, work areas, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Store chemicals, equipment, tools, and materials properly and safely.
  • Follow all applicable company safety policies, procedures, and job-specific requirements.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing Carolina Industrial Pressure Cleaning at customer locations. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess:
  • An active Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
  • Previous experience in industrial cleaning, pressure washing, blasting, restoration, maintenance, construction, or a related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify contamination, defects, damage, or unsatisfactory conditions.
  • The ability to read, understand, and follow a scope of work, work order, or project instructions.
  • The ability to understand that quality, safety, and proper procedures are more important than taking shortcuts.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and personal accountability.
  • The ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, inspect, clean, and maintain specialized equipment.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds or more , work on your feet for extended periods, and perform moderate to strenuous physical work as required by various projects.
  • The ability to work in varying environments, including industrial facilities, outdoor environments, elevated temperatures, confined areas, and other demanding work conditions. Work Schedule & Travel
  • Typically, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week .
  • Alternating Saturday and Sunday shifts may be required based on the schedule.
  • Overtime, extended hours, weekends, holidays, and schedule adjustments may be required based on project demands.
  • Travel of up to approximately 15% may be required depending on project locations and customer requirements.
  • Supplemental pay and per diem may be available for qualifying travel assignments.
