Sewer Technician

Duties Install, repair, and maintain sewer lines using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery on construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects. Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly tasks to connect sewer pipes securely and efficiently. Conduct inspections of sewer systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damages; utilize schematics and mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting. Operate construction equipment such as trenchers, excavators, and compactors safely and effectively on various sites. Engage in heavy lifting and manual labor to move materials or equipment as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Experience Prior experience in construction site work with a focus on plumbing or sewer systems is highly preferred. Familiarity with construction plumbing techniques, pipe threading, welding, and blueprint reading is essential. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery operation, and schematics interpretation is required. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and system layouts are necessary. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in demanding environments.
