Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Fuel Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing fuel dispensing equipment and associated systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Your expertise will help optimize equipment performance, uphold safety standards, and deliver exceptional service to our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about industrial maintenance, with room for growth and option to move to full-time. After a probationary period, position includes a work truck and fuel card for work related duties. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fuel dispensing systems and related equipment. Performs scheduled and emergency maintenance on fuel dispensers, tank monitors, submersible pumps, and associated systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams, control system diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems. Installs, tests, and calibrates fuel equipment and system components in accordance with manufacturer and company specifications. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical issues related to fuel systems. Ensures all work is performed safely and in compliance with company, local, and federal standards. Skills Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems relevant to fuel dispensing equipment. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in fuel systems maintenance, petroleum equipment service, or a related technical field. Familiarity with dispensers, tank monitors, submersible pumps, and vapor recovery systems. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Experience working with fuel monitoring systems (e.g., Veeder-Root) is preferred. Ability to work independently in a field-based environment. Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Ability to pass a background check. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to effectively support field service operations. Manufacturer certifications for fuel equipment (Gilbarco, Wayne, Veeder-Root, OPW etc.) preferred. Ability to configure network programming on fuel monitor systems. How to
