Pay:
$21.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule:
20-24 hours per week
Typical Schedule:
2-3 consistent weekdays (flexible)

In person No on-call. No emergency service. Limited local driving may be required. About the Role Capital City Coffee Roasters is looking for a mechanically and electrically skilled Service Technician to support our commercial coffee and espresso equipment program. This role is focused on rebuilding, testing, and maintaining equipment at our facility. The technician may assist with local installations, equipment swaps, or on-site service support. No daily route, no emergency calls, and no unpredictable schedule. Coffee or espresso experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right technician with a strong mechanical and electrical foundation. Success in this role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow established procedures, and clear communication regarding work completed, parts used, and issues encountered. What You'll Be Doing Rebuilding and refurbishing commercial coffee and espresso machines Diagnosing and repairing pumps, boilers, solenoids, valves, and electrical components Bench-testing equipment prior to installation or redeployment Preparing machines for customer swaps and installations Performing local on-site service or installation support Organizing and tracking parts and critical spares Documenting work performed, repairs completed, and parts used Communicating equipment status, outstanding issues, and recommended next steps What We're Looking For Hands-on experience in a shop, bench repair, maintenance, or service technician environment Strong mechanical aptitude with comfort troubleshooting electrical systems Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned repairs Comfortable using hand tools, test equipment, and reading basic schematics Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-directed Ability to follow established procedures and execute work consistently Clear communicator who can accurately document repairs and equipment status Relevant backgrounds may include commercial equipment repair, HVAC, appliance repair, vending, industrial maintenance, automotive repair, manufacturing maintenance, military technical experience, or similar technical fields. Qualifications Demonstrated hands-on mechanical or electrical repair experience Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems Comfortable working independently in a shop environment Willingness to perform field work when needed Nice to Have (Not Required) HVAC, commercial appliance, vending, or industrial maintenance experience Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics Component-level repair or rebuild experience Coffee or espresso equipment experience (training will be provided) Schedule & Flexibility 20-24 hours per week 2-3 consistent weekdays Flexible on which days, but we're looking for dependable, repeatable coverage Additional hours may be available during peak periods or as needs grow Why This Role Predictable part-time schedule with real work-life balance Limited, purposeful field work without a daily route Opportunity to apply your technical skills to specialized, high-quality equipment Stable, growing local company where craftsmanship, accountability, and problem-solving matter
