Full Job Description Primary Objective:
Signing Bonus Available up to $5,000.00 The Technician is responsible for manufacturing, preparing, installing, repairing, and servicing commercial signage while maintaining the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, safety, and customer service. This position may work in the production shop, in the field, or in both environments depending on business needs. Technicians are expected to work collaboratively, follow all safety procedures, operate equipment responsibly, and represent the company professionally. General Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices. Read and interpret work orders, production drawings, blueprints, and installation specifications. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, lifts, and other equipment as trained. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform quality inspections throughout production and installation. Accurately complete required paperwork, job documentation, and time records. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and subcontractors. Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Shop Technician Responsibilities The Shop Technician is responsible for manufacturing and preparing signs for installation.
Responsibilities include:
Fabricate channel letters, cabinets, monument signs, and other custom sign products. Assemble sign components using aluminum, acrylic, vinyl, plastics, steel, and other materials. Apply vinyl graphics and digital prints. Wire and test LED lighting systems and electrical sign components (when qualified). Operate fabrication equipment including saws, routers, welders, brakes, shears, and CNC equipment (as trained). Package and prepare completed signs for transportation. Assist with inventory management and material organization. Maintain shop equipment and perform routine maintenance. Ensure all products meet company quality standards before shipment. Installation Technician Responsibilities The Installation Technician is responsible for safely installing, servicing, and repairing commercial signs at customer locations.
Responsibilities include:
Load and transport signs, materials, and equipment. Install a variety of commercial signs including wall signs, monument signs, pylon signs, channel letters, vinyl graphics, and interior signage. Operate ladders, aerial lifts, bucket trucks, cranes, and rigging equipment as trained. Perform sign service calls, repairs, and maintenance. Troubleshoot installation challenges while maintaining quality workmanship. Verify measurements and placement prior to installation. Maintain clean and safe job sites. Complete installation documentation and customer sign-offs. Communicate job progress and any field issues with supervisors. Travel to customer locations throughout the service area.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in sign manufacturing, construction, fabrication, electrical work, welding, carpentry, or related trades is preferred.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Valid driver's license required; clean driving record preferred.
  • CDL is a plus but not required.
  • Electrical sign experience is a plus.
Physical & Work Requirements:
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Stand, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment.

Physical Requirements:
  • The physical requirements of the job in an office environment, including, but not limited to the following: Prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
Will also need to be able to operate a vehicle.
Pay:
$22.00 - $35.00 per hour
