Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Small Engine Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engines and equipment, including lawnmowers, generators, and power tools. Your expertise will ensure that our customers' equipment operates efficiently and reliably, providing exceptional service that keeps their outdoor and industrial tools in top condition. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment while delivering outstanding customer service. Duties Diagnose issues with small engines, including carburetors, ignition systems, fuel systems, and electrical components using schematics and technical manuals Perform repairs and maintenance on various equipment such as lawnmowers, snow blowers, generators, and other power equipment Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and heavy lifting techniques to complete repairs effectively Conduct diesel engine repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure optimal performance Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures and maintain a clean work environment Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, costs, and maintenance recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction Keep detailed records of all service work performed and parts used for each job Experience Proven dealership or service technician experience working with small engines or related equipment Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive repair, equipment repair, generator repair, and diesel engine systems Familiarity with schematics, electrical troubleshooting, welding, soldering, and heavy lifting techniques Experience working with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostic tools Prior experience in sales or providing technical support is advantageous but not required Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering top-tier service! Pay:
$20.50 - $35.95 per hour
