JOB SUMMARY
The Service Technician is responsible for helping deliver exceptional signage, awning, lighting, and graphic solutions by safely installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing customer projects. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is eager to learn, capable of working independently, and committed to producing high-quality work that reflects the standards of our company. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, flexible, and takes pride in solving problems while providing an excellent customer experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and service equipment Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to accurately measure and perform site surveys Basic computer proficiency including email, documentation, and company software systems Ability to learn sign, lighting, electrical, awning, and graphic installation techniques Experience with vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, wall graphics, or window graphics is preferred but not required Strong attention to detail Effective communication with coworkers and customers Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Problem-solving mindset Ability to work independently with limited supervision Willingness to continuously learn new skills and installation methods Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly Ability to climb ladders and work at heights exceeding 50 feet while utilizing required safety equipment Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
RESPONSIBILITIES
Installation and Service:
Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of signs, awnings, and lighting systems Construct and install awnings according to company standards Install vinyl graphics including vehicle graphics, partial and full vehicle wraps, window graphics, wall graphics, and specialty films Perform preventative maintenance and service work Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in the field
Site Surveys and Project Preparation:
Complete detailed site surveys
- Gather accurate measurements, photographs, and project information Communicate site conditions and potential challenges to project managers Verify installation requirements prior to project execution
Documentation and Inventory:
Document work completed within the company's operating system Upload job photos and notes promptly Track tools, equipment, materials, and supplies Report damaged or missing equipment
Safety and Professionalism:
Follow all company safety procedures and policies Maintain a clean and organized work environment Operate company vehicles and equipment responsibly Represent the company professionally on every job site
Team Contribution:
Collaborate effectively with team members Support coworkers when additional assistance is needed Participate in ongoing training and skill development Perform other duties as assigned
