  • $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Safety regulations Interpreting technical drawings Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Shop math DOT Physical Certification Quality control Electrical layout diagram interpretation Product quality assurance Safety standard operating procedures Full Job Description SUMMARY Repairs, installs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as mechanical masts, pneumatic masts, electro mechanical masts, lighting masts, on site and customer locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Requires up to 25% travel (as needed) the majority being in the United States with the possibility of some overseas travel. Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts. Starts devices to test their performance. Basic knowledge in use of tools and machinery such as hand drills, drill presses, grinders, welders. Allocates parts to job orders to create demand for ordering of parts. Travels to customer locations for repairs and installations. Pulls and packages orders for spare parts orders to be shipped to customer locations. Other duties may be assigned.

EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and read wiring diagrams/blue prints. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, wiring schematics or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Requires Department of Transportation medical card certification
