Position Overview Under general supervision, performs Laboratory Services job functions as assigned by management. Assists and supports management in ensuring laboratory analyses associated with remediation or other programs are conducted with accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with approved procedures and all regulatory requirements. Work assignments may support one or more functional areas in addition to other duties as assigned.
Functional:
Provides technical, administrative, and functional support to the Laboratory Services team. Supports functional areas such as sampling, testing, experimentation, analysis, documentation, and related laboratory activities. Acts as a resource for lesser experienced team members and assists in training efforts. Coordinates work assignments for technicians within the Laboratory Services group. Performs laboratory functions and sub-sampling activities in accordance with established processes and procedures. Prepares and analyzes samples in various matrices. Assists in the development and revision of laboratory processes and procedures consistent with recognized standards. Evaluates analytical data through comparison to known standards and criteria. Assists in ensuring testing procedures comply with safety regulations, applicable laws, project policies, contractual requirements, and standard operating procedures. Performs duties that are complex in nature. Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates the ability to perform work safely in accordance with approved safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree in a related science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of related experience.
