Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an Emergency Vehicle Service Technician to join our team. The Service Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and up-fitting fire trucks and other emergency vehicles. Responsibilities Perform both mobile and in house preventative maintenance Troubleshoot and diagnose issues Design and build custom solutions based on customer needs Perform both mobile and in house fire pump testing Maintain accurate records of service calls and repairs Work at an efficient pace Fabrication Mounting Metal Braking and cutting Welding (mostly aluminum) Electrical wiring and troubleshooting Qualifications Proven experience in a prior mechanical field Willing to travel Familiarity with fire pumps and systems is a plus Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members. Fire Service experience is a plus EVT Certifications are preferred While this position is for an on site mechanic, mobile mechanics may also be considered.
