Service Technician

General Requirements Five or more years experience in engine/equipment diagnosis and repair with verifiable references and a track record of success, preferably in one of the following industries: Outdoor power equipment, construction equipment and machinery, small engine and accessories, diesel mechanic. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and have own tools. Target Responsibilities Repair and maintain small engines, large lawn equipment, Riding mowers, Tillers, Pressure Washers, and other related vehicles and equipment Able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 70 lbs. plus work outdoors and indoors in all weather Ability to look up schematics and parts on the computer Ability to work directly with the Parts Dept. and follow-up on availability of parts ordered Have knowledge of and familiar with 2-Stroke and 4-Stroke equipment (Blowers, Weedeaters, Edgers, and Chainsaws) Diagnose small engine problems, maintain shop area cleanliness Clearly explain to the customers satisfaction the diagnosis and repair of equipment Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, improve and promote quality Observe all safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly Follow instructions and promptly respond to management direction Completely fill out and turn in all work orders Study and review all relevant product repair updates Check and inspect each piece of equipment is running properly before customer picks it up Ability to notify customers if additional service items have been discovered and consent is needed to go forward with repairs Begin each work day with a sense of team and positive attitude Maintain positive working relationships with employees, vendors, and customers•
