Job Description
Field Service Technician Why Carlton? Fair question—there are a lot of companies out there. Here's why people choose CIS. Since 1933, we've helped customers keep their operations running by making sure their equipment is up and running—and weighing correctly. We've built a strong team from all kinds of backgrounds—veterans, mechanics, and people who grew up working on family farms. One thing we all have in common: we like to work with our hands, figure things out, and get the job done. This is hands-on work where you solve real problems, help customers, and keep things moving. Every day is different, and what you do actually matters. At CIS, you're not stuck in one lane—there's room to grow, learn, and take on more over time. We're always asking, "What's next?" If you take pride in your work and like learning as you go, you'll fit in here. Why It Matters Because what we do shows up in everyday life. If it's made, it's weighed. From food to pharmaceuticals, products are checked multiple times to meet quality and compliance standards. If it's off? Production slows. Quality drops. Problems follow—and people can get hurt. That's where we come in. You'll work independently and build real relationships with customers—helping keep their operations safe, productive, and out of the headlines. Our families use the products our customers make. That's why this work matters. Overview As a Service Technician, you'll help keep customer operations running safely, accurately, and on track. You'll be out in the field working on equipment, solving problems, and making sure customers can keep moving without issues. You'll work independently—but you won't be on an island. You'll build relationships with customers and be someone they rely on. At CIS, we lead with Safety, Respect, Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence —that's how we show up for each other and our customers every day.
