Position Overview We are seeking a Repair Intake Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for jewelry repairs, estimates, and customer communication. This is a hybrid role that blends repair knowledge, client service, and sales responsibility. This person will play a critical role in assessing repairs, writing estimates, managing intake and pickup, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from drop-off to delivery. In addition, this individual will have the opportunity to build their own client relationships and support sales when appropriate. This role is ideal for someone with jewelry repair knowledge who also enjoys working directly with customers in a retail environment. What You'll Do Handle full repair intake from start to finish, including inspection, documentation, and estimating Assess jewelry repairs including worn prongs, damaged shanks, loose stones, and general repair needs Create repair estimates and job tickets using The Edge software Communicate repair details, timelines, and pricing clearly to customers Coordinate repair workflow including in-house repairs and out-of-house services Prepare and manage outgoing and incoming shipments for specialty repairs and vendors Relay watch repair estimates and updates between customers and off-site watchmakers Manage repair pickup and delivery process, ensuring accurate completion within The Edge Support special orders, custom requests, and vendor ordering (including Stuller findings) Assist with retail sales and customer engagement as needed, with commission opportunities What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in jewelry repair, sales, or repair intake Strong understanding of jewelry repair fundamentals (prongs, shanks, stone security, heat sensitivity, etc.) Experience with The Edge software is highly preferred Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers Ability to evaluate repair needs and create accurate estimates Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple workflows at once Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
