Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex industrial equipment and systems within manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will ensure optimal operational performance, safety, and efficiency across various production lines. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong foundation in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and technical solutions. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing equipment using schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical issues using multimeters (ohmmeters, ammeters), precision measuring instruments, and engineering troubleshooting techniques. Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to modify or update control systems for machinery operation. Conduct electrical diagnostics on low voltage and high voltage systems to identify faults and implement corrective actions. Read and interpret schematics, electrical blueprints, and system diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Assist with field service operations including installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades. Support customer service efforts by providing technical guidance and solutions to clients on-site or remotely. Operate industrial lifts such as scissor lifts safely while performing maintenance tasks in elevated or confined spaces. Follow safety protocols related to HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), high voltage work, and industrial mechanic procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience working in manufacturing facilities with a solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices. Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical diagnostics, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, electrical blueprint interpretation, and engineering troubleshooting. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting. Ability to read precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools accurately. Experience operating scissor lifts or similar industrial equipment safely in field service environments. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems along with relevant certifications or experience is preferred. Skilled in welding techniques including welding; ability to perform repairs involving welding processes is a plus. Excellent analysis skills combined with strong customer service orientation to effectively resolve issues on-site or remotely. Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members or clients. Industrial electrician experience or background in electrical diagnostics involving low voltage and high voltage systems is highly desirable. Military background or experience in engineering troubleshooting is advantageous but not mandatory. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
