About the Role As a Heavy Equipment Service Technician, you will serve as a critical member of our maintenance team, ensuring the operational readiness and peak performance of our fleet. You will leverage your expertise in diesel engines and complex mechanical systems to minimize downtime and drive productivity through high-quality repairs and proactive maintenance. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and heavy machinery to ensure optimal equipment uptime. Perform routine preventive maintenance and detailed inspections to identify potential mechanical failures before they impact operations. Restore functionality to critical hydraulic, pneumatic, and drivetrain systems through precise component replacement and calibration. Interpret complex electrical and hydraulic schematics to troubleshoot and resolve intricate system malfunctions. Document all service activities and repair outcomes accurately to maintain detailed equipment maintenance logs. Uphold a rigorous safety standard by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace at all times. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine repair or heavy equipment maintenance. Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Proficiency in reading and applying technical service manuals and complex schematics. Strong commitment to safety protocols and operational excellence. Preferred Skills Advanced experience with OEM diagnostic software and electronic service tools. Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple repair priorities. Strong organizational skills with a focus on detailed documentation and reporting.
