Job Description
CNC Repair Technician We are seeking a qualified CNC Repair Technician to join our family-owned industrial manufacturing company. As a CNC Repair Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, adjustment, installation, and maintenance of CNC Machining Centers, Manual Mills, Manual Lathes, Gear Machines, and other industrial equipment. Your role will also involve maintaining our production facility and applying your expertise in electronics, materials, methods, and tools.
Responsibilities:
Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts for repairs. Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment. Maintain the operating condition of industrial production equipment and machinery. Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing, or repairs. Diagnose equipment problems by analyzing test results, machine error messages, and operator feedback. Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment using voltmeters and other testing devices to identify malfunctions. Install, test, repair, and troubleshoot various CNC controls. Maintain, install, repair, and replace electrical and electronic wiring, as well as plumbing in the production facility.Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machine repair. Strong electronics background and previous experience with a broad range of CNC machines. Experience working on industrial machinery is preferred, but we are willing to train candidates with strong electronic, electrical, and mechanical abilities. Ability to read M-Codes and interpret blueprints. Extensive knowledge of Fanuc controls, with experience working with Heidenhain, Okuma, and Allen Bradley CNC Controls. Proficiency in using the controller to diagnose machine tool problems. Familiarity with PLCs and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. Experience with precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Levels, and Lasers. Active listening skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to monitor machine performance and take appropriate action when necessary. Basic computer skills and mathematical abilities. Good command of the English language.Physical Demands:
Close vision for inspecting parts and reading measuring instruments. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity and arm-hand steadiness for manipulating and assembling objects. Ability to be on feet for 10 hours per day.
