Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Field Service Technician position is a customer-facing role responsible for supporting sales opportunities according to Swagelok Southeast Texas' strategic plan. Primary responsibility is working projects in the field for paid services. Services include Hose Advisory, Leak Detection, safety-related best practices for tubing systems, commissioning of SSET-built assembly solutions, etc. Secondary responsibilities include supporting and maintaining the Tools and Welder rental fleet, performing internal service operations such as Cylinder Maintenance Program, and similar.
Expectations:
Perform services that include Energy Surveys, Compressed Gas Leak Detection, Hose Advisory, Orbital Weld Consultation, Fluid System Installation Oversight and other Field Service Evaluations. Support internal Field Service operations such as Cylinder Maintenance Program. Develop and grow technical competency both in product knowledge and customer applications Maintain Swagelok Engineering Services program certifications that align with company goals and strategies Develop appropriate customer reports that record all data necessary in alignment with the scope of service, utilizing the Swagelok OIS application and tablet when appropriate Host site safety walk-throughs, daily meetings Maintain rental equipment program with maintenance, calibration, allocations, and CAP reports, along with onsite training and hands-on instruction for customers. Support Customer Service, sales teams, and customers with commercial and technical questions regarding rental fleet. Coordinate through Technical Advisor and customers directly on projects Explore additional service opportunities while on-site Work toward achieving 50% in the field with projects and sales calls. Document Field Service opportunities in Salesforce with appropriate follow-ups, action items, and opportunity updates.
Position Requirements Education:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
3-5 years
Industry Experience Skills:
Fluent at reading and understanding drawings and P&ID's Excellent at technical writing Group facilitations skills Problem solving and analytical ability Remains Organized Accuracy and attention to detail MS office, Word, Excel Interacting and communicating with customers Ability to work effectively in teams
