Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Doors Specialist, where you will play a vital role in the installation, repair, and maintenance of doors across various construction and remodeling projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your mechanical expertise, carpentry skills, and construction experience to deliver high-quality results that enhance safety, security, and aesthetic appeal. Duties Install, hang, and adjust a variety of doors including interior, exterior, metal, wood, glass, and custom fixtures in accordance with building codes and project specifications Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans to ensure precise installation and fabrication of door systems Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, frame, weld, caulk, and secure door components Perform mechanical repairs on door hardware such as locks, hinges, closers, and electronic access systems to ensure optimal operation Fabricate door frames and metal stud framing as needed for custom projects or remodeling tasks Conduct site assessments to determine project scope; measure openings accurately; perform heavy lifting when handling large or heavy doors safely Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations during all phases of installation and repair work Assist with remodeling projects by installing fixtures like cabinets, locks, handles, and other hardware components that complement door systems Qualifications Proven experience in door installation, carpentry, or construction site work with a strong understanding of building practices Mechanical knowledge including experience with welding, electrical work related to electronic lock systems, and mechanical repair techniques Skilled in using hand tools such as drills, saws, hammers; power tools including grinders and pneumatic tools; welding equipment; caulking guns; and fabricating tools Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret construction plans accurately Knowledge of building code compliance related to door installation and safety standards Physical ability to perform heavy lifting; stand for extended periods; work at heights; bend or kneel frequently during installations Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about project timelines and specifications Experience working on construction sites or remodeling projects with attention to detail and safety protocols Join us in delivering top-tier door solutions that combine craftsmanship with innovation!
