Open Until Filled Employment Opportunity The Orem Public Works Department is currently hiring for a Public Works Technician inthe Storm Water group. This is a full-time, benefited position responsible for specificduties related to thestreet sweeping program. This position could also operate various types of heavy to lightequipment specifically related to maintenance of the storm drain system, which may include operating a jetrodder/vacuum truck, dump truck, and loader, along with a variety of hand tools related tothe assigned section. Technicians are also required to be on-call periodically and respondto after-hour callouts including snow removal obligations. Qualifications Requires graduation from high school or equivalent and one year relatedexperience, or equivalent education or training. Ability to operate a variety of light to heavyequipment related to the assigned section. Must possess and maintain a valid Utah CommercialDriver License (CDL) and have a good driving record. The successful candidate will be subject torandom drug testing. Must pass a criminal background check. Pay and Benefits Individual starting salary will depend on qualifications, certifications, and experience. The City also provides a comprehensive and competitive benefits package.
