Full Job Description Schedule:
Rotating 7 am-6 pm
Monday-Thursday, Wednesday-Saturday & Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday Compensation:
$19.25-$24.00 hourly, depending on experience
Summary:
The Express Maintenance Technician performs basic maintenance and light repairs on customer vehicles, including flat repairs, tires, alignments, brakes, spark plugs, coolant, oil changes, etc. Primary goals are safe, efficient performance of all maintenance and repair tasks as defined in dealership processes and policies.
Duties:
Performs basic and intermediate-level maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles Conducts multipoint inspections of customer vehicles to identify needed maintenance services and repairs Follows all required safety and hazardous materials procedures as required by dealership policies and regulations Uses and maintains dealership-provided tools and equipment in proper operating condition Personal tools required Documents inspection findings and maintenance requirements clearly and accurately and communicates them to the ASM Communicates proactively with other associates to ensure a smooth, safe flow of work through the TXM shop Quality-checks own work and the work of other Technicians as requested Must meet the company's requirements for employment 1-2 years of automotive technician experience Valid driver's license, have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record Ability to drive vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles Professional appearance Demonstrate customer service skills Basic knowledge of automotive technology and related tools/equipment Strong customer service focus Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking ability Ability to lift at least 50 pounds High school diploma or the equivalent Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
