Job Description
Overview Join our team as an Internet Service Installer/Technician and become a vital part of delivering reliable, Point-to-Point connectivity to homes and businesses. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining internet services, ensuring customers experience seamless connectivity. Your technical expertise and proactive approach will help us build strong, lasting relationships with clients while advancing your career in telecommunications infrastructure. Duties Install and configure Point-to-Point wireless internet service equipment including routers, and modems at customer sites. Conduct network installation tasks involving Ethernet cabling, splicing, and low voltage wiring to ensure optimal performance on rooftops, towers and other structures. Use hand tools such as wire crimpers, wire strippers, and mechanical tools to prepare and connect cabling accurately. Test installed equipment to verify signal integrity and troubleshoot issues. Perform field service visits for troubleshooting, repairing, or upgrading systems. Maintain detailed records of installations, tests, and service calls to ensure quality control and compliance. Collaborate with team members on network setup involving networking hardware to optimize system performance. Provide friendly, professional customer service. Experience Basic experience with running, terminating, and installing communication cables preferred. Knowledge of computer networking principles, and Ethernet standards. Hands-on experience with routers, equipment testing devices, wire crimpers, wire strippers, and other hand tools used in field service environments. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot network issues. Prior satellite service technician experience involving cabling installation preferred. Qualifications Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
