Master Installer Full-Time Position Expected Start Date:
Mid-August 2026 About the Position Shadow Surveillance is seeking an experienced Lead Field Technician / Master Installer to support the deployment, maintenance, repair, and expansion of our nationwide mobile surveillance operations. This position is intended for a highly skilled technician who can work independently, troubleshoot complex technical issues, lead field installations, and mentor apprentice technicians. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader within the organization and play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our surveillance systems. Our systems include advanced mobile surveillance trailers utilizing: High-definition fixed and PTZ camera systems Solar power systems Battery banks MPPT charge controllers Cellular communication equipment Starlink satellite internet systems Routers and networking equipment Edge computing and CPU-based monitoring systems Primary Responsibilities Lead installation, deployment, maintenance, and recovery of mobile surveillance units Diagnose and repair camera, networking, power, and communication system failures Configure and troubleshoot cellular and satellite-based communication systems Install and troubleshoot routers, switches, networking equipment, and remote access systems Perform preventive maintenance and operational inspections Maintain accurate service and maintenance documentation Coordinate equipment readiness and deployment schedules Train, mentor, and oversee apprentice technicians Ensure installations meet company standards and operational requirements Travel to customer locations throughout assigned service areas as needed Assist with inventory control, equipment testing, and quality assurance Required Qualifications Verifiable experience in low-voltage installation and troubleshooting Experience with mobile surveillance trailers, mobile security systems, telecommunications equipment, or similar field service work Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting cellular data communication systems Experience with mobile data streaming technologies and remote connectivity solutions Experience troubleshooting networking equipment, routers, and communication devices Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to read and understand technical documentation and wiring diagrams Professional communication and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with solar-powered systems Experience with battery storage systems Experience with Starlink installation and troubleshooting Experience with surveillance camera systems, PTZ cameras, and video management systems Construction, industrial, utility, or telecommunications field experience Leadership or supervisory experience Requirements Reliable vehicle suitable for travel to construction and industrial sites Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Willingness and ability to travel as required Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to lift, carry, and install equipment safely Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must be dependable, professional, and safety conscious Leadership Expectations This position is expected to function as a Master Installer and technical leader within the company. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing apprentice technicians, maintaining installation standards, and helping establish best practices for field operations.
