Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform residential and commercial fiber installations (single-family, MDU, and business units). Route and secure drop cables along exterior and interior walls; perform standard penetrations and terminations. Install, test, and label ONTs, routers, extenders, and other customer equipment per network specifications. Complete site surveys, photos, and documentation via the field management app (Jira/FSM). Respond to maintenance tickets, service calls, and customer trouble reports as dispatched by the Network Operations Center (NOC) . Conduct speed tests, verify signal quality, and ensure all installations pass QA standards. Perform routine and emergency fiber drop repairs and restorations as required. Represent the network owner and service provider professionally — proper uniform, ID badge, and branded vehicle signage required. Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and property owners regarding work progress or issues. All other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience in fiber installation, low-voltage, or telecom service fieldwork. Familiarity with ONT equipment, splicing enclosures, routers, and fiber testing tools (e.g., VFL, power meter). Ability to read and follow job tickets, maps, and installation drawings. Knowledge of 811 locating process, safe excavation, and conduit awareness. Strong attention to detail — accurate photos, labeling, and documentation required. Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record. OSHA-10 certification preferred (OSHA-30 or Blue Badge Training a plus). Capable of working independently outdoors in various weather conditions.
