Description:
The Audiovisual Project Lead provides comprehensive leadership in both physical project execution and the successful delivery of technical scope for Ireland Sound Systems. Overseeing a teams on site, this role serves as the primary driver for field project completion. Experience and strong knowledge of AV systems and integrations will be utilized to guide and ensure perfectly installed and integrated systems. You will act as a field leader, working directly alongside the field team to support them and optimize physical installation workflows while ensuring all technical requirements are met. This position requires strong foresight to anticipate project milestones, coordinating seamlessly with engineers, programmers, and commissioning specialists to ensure the final system performs flawlessly.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Support the field team and work alongside them on-site to handle all types of installation escalations, collaborating with engineering and management to keep the project moving forward. Manage the completion of the project's technical scope by proactively anticipating when specialized programmers, IT professionals, or commissioning engineers are required and coordinating their schedules. Conduct rigorous quality control visits during and post-installation to verify structural integrity, aesthetic quality, and overall project readiness for final commissioning. Conduct comprehensive pre-installation site surveys to assess physical readiness and identify potential technical roadblocks. Coordinate and manage field activities, including out-sourced labor, ensuring strict adherence to technical schematics, network diagrams, and architectural blueprints. Develop a thorough understanding of project scope, technical requirements, construction coordination, materials, personnel, and scheduling. Demonstrate and train staff on proper installation tasks, including cable pulling, equipment mounting, terminations, and understanding signal flow. Adhere to and enforce OSHA standards across all phases of the project. Travel to various job sites to provide hands-on leadership, oversight, and project management support. Mentor Installation Technicians through designated learning paths, focusing on best practices for installation and understanding when to escalate technical issues. Ireland Sound Systems reserves the right to alter work hours and locations based on client requirements. Work hours may vary and will include travel to various customer locations to support field operations. This position operates on active customer sites and frequently deals with a construction-style work environment.Required Qualifications:
Proven ability to manage an installation workforce through recruiting, training, scheduling, and best-practice techniques. Deep working knowledge and experience with top and most relevant brands in the industry such as Crestron, QSYS/QSC, Biamp, AtlasIED, Renkus Heinz, Epson, Da Lite, along with other top brands. Strong understanding of signal flow for audio, video, control, and basic IT networking to effectively oversee project completion. Proficient knowledge of AV or electromechanical systems, with the ability to manage field troubleshooting efforts and escalate to engineering when necessary. Ability to read, interpret, and field-verify electronic schematics, architectural blueprints, and project documentation. Exceptional strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills for managing operational and timeline challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build alignment among management, engineers, programmers, and field technicians. Enthusiastic self-starter capable of working independently, driving project milestones, and meeting deadlines. Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the organization. Safe and efficient operation of hand and power tools. Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets Ireland Sound Systems requirements. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to sit, walk, stand, talk, hear, and use standard office equipment. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and wear appropriate PPE gear.Preferred Qualifications:
Valid and currentAVIXA CTS-I
Certification (Required within 1 year). Current OSHA 30 certification (Required within 1 year). Familiarity with control system and DSP workflows to effectively coordinate with programming and commissioning teams. Demonstrated knowledge of construction or project management theory and best practices. Extensive experience developing business processes, managing timelines, and streamlining field operations.
