Opens a new window. Job Description Contract I.T. Experts (CIT Experts) is seeking an experienced Field Technician with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on low voltage experience in the IT industry. This role supports commercial and enterprise clients across Southern California and involves on-site installation, troubleshooting, and documentation of low-voltage and IT infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field while following structured scopes of work. Minimum Requirements At least 2 years of experience as a low-voltage technician in the IT or telecommunications industry Experience with structured cabling (CAT5e/CAT6), terminations, and testing Ability to read and follow scopes of work, diagrams, and installation guidelines Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites Smartphone and basic computer proficiency for work order updates and documentation Ability to work in commercial environments (retail, offices, warehouses) Preferred Experience Network hardware installation (switches, routers, access points) POS and back-office IT support Site surveys and wireless deployments Fiber experience (a plus, not required) Familiarity with service platforms such as Service Fusion or Field Nation Responsibilities Perform low-voltage installations and service work according to SOW Communicate with dispatch and project managers regarding site status Complete required documentation, photos, and deliverables Maintain professionalism on client sites Follow safety procedures and company guidelines Work Environment On-site field work at customer locations May require lifting, ladder use, and working in ceilings or confined spaces Flexible scheduling based on project demand Some nights and weekends required based on customer needs Contract/1099 position
