UXO Tech 2 554 Al-hil Drive, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405 $41.30 an hour - Contract $41.30 an hour - Contract UXO Technician IIs will support validation seeding field activities by providing escort and MEC/anomaly avoidance services in accordance with project requirements and established safety procedures. This role includes conducting UXO avoidance surveys of proposed seed locations using a metal detector to identify potential anomalies or ordnance-related material, helping relocate work areas when concerns are identified, and ensuring UXO avoidance practices are always followed. UXO technicians may also assist field operations through hand digging, use of a power auger, AGC data collection, and data entry on project-provided tablets to support seed emplacement activities. When visible ordnance or MEC is encountered, you will clearly mark the area, document the finding in field logs, record coordinates, and report the location to the designated SUXOS. Under no circumstances will ordnance, munitions, explosives, or ordnance-related materials be moved, removed, detonated, identified by type or condition, or otherwise disturbed during the performance of these duties.

Benefits-in-Kind:

$5.55 per hour (up to $222.00 per week)

Haz Pay:

4% ($1.65 per hour) while performing UXO escort duties on active UXO site up to 40 hours per week.
