Today, we're expanding our nationwide deployment team to support large-scale technology rollouts for nationally recognized restaurant and retail brands. We're looking for motivated technicians based in South Florida who enjoy traveling, solving technical challenges, and producing clean, professional installations. Position Summary As a CMA Field Service Technician, you'll travel throughout the United States installing and commissioning enterprise technology systems for leading restaurant and retail organizations.
Projects include installing and configuring:
Point-of-Sale (POS) Systems Self-Service Ordering Kiosks Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) Digital Menu Boards Back-of-House Computers Network Equipment Structured Cabling Commercial Displays Peripheral Devices Successful candidates are self-motivated professionals who enjoy working independently while maintaining CMA's high standards for quality and customer service. Primary Responsibilities Install commercial Point-of-Sale hardware Install receipt printers, kitchen printers and cash drawers Configure Back-of-House (BOH) computers Install Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) Install self-service ordering kiosks Install indoor and outdoor digital menu boards Mount commercial displays and associated hardware Run, terminate, label and test Cat5e/Cat6 cabling Professionally route, secure and manage all power and data cabling Install network switches and supporting hardware Perform system testing and commissioning Troubleshoot hardware and network connectivity Complete installation documentation and project photos Communicate project status with CMA Project Management Maintain a clean, organized and professional job site Required Qualifications Commercial low-voltage installation experience Experience installing POS systems or restaurant technology Experience pulling, terminating and testing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling Basic networking knowledge Ability to read installation drawings and floor plans Strong troubleshooting skills Excellent customer service and communication Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Ability to pass background screening when required Willingness to travel nationwide Preferred Experience Experience with one or more of the following technologies is highly desirable.   • 30/hour Performs installations under established procedures Supports local and nationwide deployments Works independently or alongside senior technicians Builds experience across multiple technology platforms Level II
  • Senior Field Technician $30
  • 35/hour Independently completes installations Assists with troubleshooting and commissioning Mentors junior technicians Serves as the primary on-site technician for many deployments Level III
  • Lead Deployment Technician Starting at $35+/hour (based on experience and project requirements) Leads multi-technician deployment teams Coordinates with project managers and customers Responsible for installation quality, documentation, and customer sign-off Trains and develops new technicians Supports complex enterprise rollouts nationwide Advancement is based on technical ability, professionalism, customer feedback, and overall performance.
