Job Description
Drop Bury Technician - W-2 Position Overview We are seeking several motivated and dependable Drop Bury Technicians to join our growing team. This position is responsible for installing and maintaining telecommunications and fiber optic infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, underground utility installation, telecommunications, or related fields. However, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn. This is a full-time W-2 position offering competitive compensation based on skill level and experience. Reliable transportation is required, as technicians will travel to various job sites throughout the workday. Compensation Pay based on experience and skill level Full-time W-2 employment Opportunities for growth and advancement On-the-job training available for qualified candidates Requirements Reliable transportation required Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to perform physically demanding work, including digging, lifting, and carrying equipment Basic hand tools are preferred; however, tools may be provided by the company under a tool agreement/contract for qualified candidates. Any company-issued tools must be maintained in good working condition and returned upon separation of employment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Valid driver's license preferred Duties and Responsibilities Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of underground telecommunications and fiber optic systems Bury cables according to project specifications, schematics, and industry standards Operate hand tools, power tools, and minor equipment used in underground utility installation Assist with fiber optic cable placement and related telecommunications infrastructure work Maintain accurate job documentation and completion reports Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and customer standards Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers when necessary Preferred Qualifications Experience in telecommunications, construction, utility installation, or related field Knowledge of fiber optic cabling, low-voltage systems, and underground utility practices Experience reading schematics, utility maps, and technical diagrams Familiarity with telephony, LAN/WAN networks, Ethernet systems, and IT cabling standards Experience operating construction tools and equipment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Why Join Us?
