Overview We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting phone systems as well as voice/data cabling for these phone systems. Access Control & CCTV systems experience a plus. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Telecommunications, cabling and system design, along with hands-on experience using both power and hand tools. Duties Install and configure Panasonic, Mitel, Avaya, and Vertical Phone systems including cabling for these systems. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of existing phone systems, Surveillance cameras & Access control systems to ensure optimal performance. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for installation and repair tasks. Collaborate with team members to design telecom systems that meet client specifications. Detect and resolve issues related to cabling and system functionality promptly. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service requests. Adhere to safety protocols while working in various environments. Skills Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to low voltage installations. Knowledgeable in surveillance system installation and maintenance. Experience with telecommunication systems and computer networking principles. Strong ability to detect issues within low voltage systems and implement effective solutions. Familiarity with cabling techniques and best practices for system design. External paging/intercom skills! Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
