In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic networks to ensure reliable communication services. Your expertise will help bridge communities and empower businesses through cutting-edge telecommunication infrastructure. Duties Perform fiber termination, and testing to establish high-quality optical connections. Install and troubleshoot network infrastructure including fiber optic cables, Ethernet cabling, and telecommunication equipment. Conduct field service activities such as cabling, grounding, and mechanical installation of telecommunication systems. Use hand tools, ohmmeters, and electrical testing devices to diagnose issues and verify system integrity. Collaborate with team members to plan routes, access points, and network layouts for efficient deployment. Document all work performed accurately in reports and logs to ensure compliance with industry standards. Skills Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunication systems. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, low voltage wiring, and telephony systems. Hands-on experience with field service operations involving cabling, mechanical installation, and troubleshooting. Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely in various field environments. Mechanical knowledge related to cable management, enclosures, and electrical components. Proficiency with testing equipment such as ohmmeters and electrical testers to ensure optimal system performance. Must have vehicle capable of carrying a 28-ft ladder (Truck, Van, SUV) Prior service technician experience in telecommunications or related fields is highly desirable. $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
