In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide range of telecommunication systems and network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for our clients by executing precise cabling, equipment setup, and system configurations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse environments, from data centers to customer sites, delivering exceptional service and technical excellence every day. Responsibilities Install, test, and troubleshoot telecommunication systems including fiber optics, Ethernet networks, VoIP systems, and CCTV surveillance equipment. Perform fiber splicing and cabling using low voltage wiring standards such as Cat5, Cat6, and other telecommunication cables following NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installations. Conduct network installation tasks involving Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, switches, and LAN configurations to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for cable routing, equipment mounting, and hardware repairs. Diagnose electrical issues using tools like ohmmeters and troubleshoot network or equipment failures efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system functions clearly and addressing client concerns professionally during installation or maintenance visits. Skills Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LAN (Local Area Network), VLANs, and network security protocols. Hands-on experience with telecommunication systems such as Avaya telephony platforms and VoIP solutions. Strong understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation related to fiber splicing and cabling projects. Service technician experience in installing or repairing telecommunication equipment in various environments like data centers or client sites. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service settings while maintaining high safety standards.
