Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the optimization, testing, and documentation of sophisticated communication systems, ensuring high performance through technical support of specialized product applications. Provision system infrastructure and troubleshoot software-driven electronics, including RF and Broadband architectures such as digital P25, data infrastructure, and legacy analog systems. Execute maintenance for server hardware, operating systems, and software, resolving application issues through expert troubleshooting. Conduct routine preventative maintenance with an emphasis on trend analysis to guarantee consistent system operation. Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project management teams to deliver advanced solutions that exceed customer expectations.Technical Expertise & Interpersonal Skills:
Demonstrate proficiency in computer network systems (LAN/WAN), including the setup and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and cabling. Maintain a working knowledge of R.F. systems, antenna networks, transmitters, receivers, and packet switching techniques. Utilize strong self-management and interpersonal skills to work effectively with Motorola customers, subcontractors, and internal service teams. Remain self-motivated while working remotely, with the ability to provide rapid problem resolution in high-pressure environments. Prepare comprehensive weekly progress reports detailing accomplishments and key activities.Candidate Requirements:
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer. Must reside near Beltsville, MD or be willing to relocate to service Public Safety customers located in Beltsville, MD. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position. Must have a current, valid driver's license and no traffic violations. Must be willing to travel 15% of the time as needed. #LI-CC1 This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.Target Base Salary Range:
